North Carolina has no state license for roofing jobs under $40,000, so a roofer doing a smaller job may hold no state license at all. A job of $40,000 or more needs a contractor licensed by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors, and you can check that license with the board.

Cost figures on this site are averages from published third-party sources, each labeled with its source and year. The calculator and quiz give rough guidance from your answers. Neither is a quote, an inspection or a diagnosis of your roof.
